We are pleased to formally announce our partnership with Florece Farms in a combined effort to provide sustainable and nutritious specialty mushrooms right here in the Nebraska Panhandle. This new and innovative Volunteers of America Western Nebraska program is part of our continuing Health & Nutrition initiative and will support our ongoing efforts to provide high-quality and healthy dietary products to our underserved communities.
Our co-branded ‘VOA Florece Farms’ partnership will supply our fresh, high-quality mushrooms to local consumers, wholesalers, and food distributors. These flavorful mushrooms are grown locally in a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) system at the VOAWN. Our mushrooms are economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable products harvested with care and packed to maintain freshness. Only the best pesticide-free farming practices are followed, ensuring our customers receive the highest quality eco-friendly mushrooms.
We look forward to offering these delicious specialty mushrooms at VOAWN locations and farmer’s markets across the region. As our program continues to grow, we will expand into area food retailers in order to provide greater access to our VOA Florece Farms Specialty Mushrooms.
